Chainsaw Cylinder Repair
A brand new chainsaw engine can last for years and thousands of uses, but even the best maintained cylinders are subject to wear. When they do, send them to US Chrome for full restoration. Our cylinder repair technicians have repaired and upgraded countless chainsaws to bring them back to peak performance.
We Repair All Brands
US Chrome repairs all brands of chainsaws including but not limited to:
- Stihl Chainsaws
- Husqvarna Chainsaws
- Homelite Chainsaws
Chainsaw Cylinder Boring
Our experienced cylinder boring technicians know how to maximize the quality and power out of an engine. By taking the cylinders out to maximum overbore, we achieve the most displacement possible.
Our diamond plateau cylinder honing technique will symmetrically size the bore of your cylinders and create a superior lubrication surface. Cylinders that have been bored and finished with our NiCom coating have tighter tolerances, rounder diameters and straighter strokes.
Chainsaw Cylinder Plating and Replating
US Chrome uses a patented nickel composite, or NiCom, coating for all of our cylinder replating jobs. Our coating has high-quality hardness and wear resistance, and is paired with a three micron particle size for a non-abrasive finish. It can be applied in thicknesses up to ten times greater than that of Chromium, which makes it ideal for cylinders and other sliding wear applications.
By applying a NiCom coating to the cylinders of your chainsaw, you’re creating a more wear resistant, oleophilic surface that will be more durable than OEM or chromium coatings, significantly increasing its lifespan.
