It doesn’t matter if you ride a sport-bike, nitro bike, street drag bike, or Harley-Davidson, you want the most power from your motorcycle – so do we. Our high quality cylinder plating and sport bike replating services will ensure you get the most from your bike. If you ride a Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Yamaha, BMW, or any other motorcycle, choose U.S. Chrome of Wisconsin for all of your cylinder and boring needs.
Motorcycle Cylinder Plating – Aluminum and Iron Bores
For over 75 years, U.S. Chrome has been providing the highest quality plating services, including durable NiComTM (nickel silicon carbide composite) cylinder coatings, aluminum and cast iron cylinder boring and plating, precision diamond plateau honing, and long-lasting graphite piston skirt spray coatings!
Over time, mechanical wear increases the space between the piston and the cylinder, resulting in a drop of power output. This is true for aluminum and, especially, iron sleeved motorcycle cylinders. NiCom coatings can be applied to both aluminum and cast iron bores for added durability. Our plating averages 600 Vickers (62-64 Rockwell C) hardness! This is much harder than cast iron, almost all Asian OEM plating, and the competitors’ knockoff coatings. U.S. Chrome’s plating chemistry ensures that your bores will never scuff or streak with sufficient lubrication - guaranteed! Don’t fall victim to inferior plating chemistry and the wear and tear which robs your machine of precious horsepower and compression! U.S. Chrome is here to help tighten your clearances and make your motorcycle cylinder perform at the highest level possible. Our focus is on getting you back to where you want to be – cranking the throttle with powerful results!
